Question: How long will the battery back up on my alarm system last in the event of a power failure?

Of course, alarm systems need power to function. In the event of adverse weather conditions or disruptions to the power grid, power outages can occasionally occur. Thankfully these usually last no more than a few hours and it’ll be back to business as usual in no time. However, security systems are an integral part of keeping your building, stock and staff safe. Power outages can create opportunities for thieves, leaving your business temporarily vulnerable to a break-in. Thankfully, each of our alarm systems comes complete with a backup battery system, so your alarm system can continue functioning as normal in the event of a major power loss. Depending on the size and scope of your alarm system, a backup battery will be able to keep things fully up and running for up to 8 hours. Once the mains power is back online, the backup battery will immediately begin recharging so it’s ready for any outages that may follow.

At iDiS we aim to deliver ultimate peace of mind to all of our clients, so you can be rest assured that our systems and backup batteries will be there and ready when you need them, regardless of environmental conditions or any faults in your main supply. Each of our products is designed to be as adaptable as possible to even the most unlikely scenarios, so that you are covered for every eventuality.
